Creating Credit: Local Banking Experts Help Students Prepare for Future
The Junior Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s second financial literacy workshop with the support of Vallery Skoglund (Intracoastal Bank) and Vincent Amore (Trustco Bank). Vallery and Vinny presented “Creating Credit,” and welcomed both students and parents in an effort to help them better understand this key personal financial indicator.
Both experts from Intracoastal Bank and Trustco Bank highlighted how credit scores are calculated, impacted by payments/purchases and more. This was the second of six planned financial literacy workshops designed by the Junior Chamber to help students prepare for their post-high school future.
The next Junior Chamber financial literacy workshop will be held at the Palm Coast Community Center on Thursday, November 30th from 6-7:30 p.m. This event will feature Bretty Winney with VyStar Bank and focus on budgeting and long-term savings.
