The Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce applauds the Flagler School Board for their selection of LaShakia Moore as Superintendent of Schools.
Chamber leaders have twice met in-person with Superintendent Moore to share the business community’s perspectives on several workforce development and community education issues. Both times, we found Superintendent Moore to have a clear-eyed perspective of the state of Flagler Schools. Significant effort, coordination and partnership is needed to strengthen public schools in Flagler County. The Chamber supports Superintendent Moore’s “Flagler Forward” approach, which is refreshing and needed to refocus the District’s efforts on the most important educational issues facing our community.
