Florida House Speaker Paul Renner spoke to constituents, government officials, community and business leaders today at the Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber’s 2024 Legislative Session Preview, presented by AdventHealth.
Speaker Renner first joined the Chamber’s Board of Directors and CEO Roundtable for an executive briefing and discussion. Then, he spoke before a sold-out crowd of more than 150 attendees about the upcoming 2024 Florida Legislative Session. Read more below…
Speaker Paul Renner identified the following as priorities of the upcoming 2024 Legislative Session:
- Healthcare- Addressing quality of care, access to care and cost of care. This includes a focus on mental health.
- Education- A priority throughout Speaker Renner’s legislative career. Continuing to improve Florida’s education system, student performance and important issues facing the modern youth in schools (i.e. social media).
- Infrastructure- Florida smartly continues to invest heavily in infrastructure projects. Important for a rapidly growing state.
- Energy- Focusing on low cost, reliable, domestically-sourced energy solutions. Again, wise considering Florida’s growing population.
