Did you know businesses throughout Florida are facing liability lawsuits from both customers and employees who say the business did not properly adhere to CDC guidelines?

In some cases, there are legitimate claims. However, considering Florida has one of the worst legal climates of all 50 U.S. states (its much easier to sue someone in Florida than in most other states), a bulk of these lawsuits are opportunistic, frivolous and have the ability to put the “closed” sign on the business permanently.

Enter the Florida Legislature, which this evening put the first stamp of approval on HB7, a bill filed by Rep. McClure (R-Plant City), which is designed to protect businesses against frivilous lawsuits.
