Flagler Eclipses 50,000 Employed Residents

Flagler County’s unemployment rate remained flat at 3.2%, according to the February 2023 data release from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

“The number of Flagler County’s employed residents eclipsed 50,000 workers in February 2023,” said Greg Blosé, President & CEO, Palm Coast Flagler Regional Chamber. “Flagler resident employment continues to grow, along with the population, which is expected. 50,000 employed residents is a welcome milestone to celebrate, but we still have more progress to make.”

The number of Flagler County residents that are employed (either working in this county or another county) increased from 49,503 workers in January 2023 to 50,001 in February 2023, an increase of 498 residents.

The number of unemployed job-seeking residents in Flagler County remained flat, measuring 1,652 in February 2023, up slightly from 1,648 in February 2023, an increase of four residents from last month’s report.

The Flagler County labor force has grown from at 51,151 residents in January 2023 to 51,653 in February 2023, an increase of 502.
