Members of the Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce recently visited Flagler Palm Coast High School (FPC) for an exclusive tour of career academies and lunch with Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt. All attendees were impressed with FPC students and the career academies. Pictures from our tour and lunch are shown below:

Superintendent Mittelstadt provided an overview of what has occurred at Flagler Schools in the past 20 years, how the school district is working to prepare local students for future careers and shared how past funding from the 1/2 Cent Sales Tax in Flagler County has been used to benefit students and parents, alike.

Khanh-Lien Banko, Chair of the Campaign for the Flagler 1/2 Cent Sales Tax Renewal Campaign shared why business leaders should support continuing the funding, which will be voted on by residents during the 2022 General Election.

The Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber’s Board of Directors this month unanimously voted to support the 1/2 Cent Sales Tax Renewal for Flagler Schools. The Chamber encourages all business owners and residents to learn more, here. The Chamber conducted extensive research on this issue and has concluded Flagler Schools must continue to receive funding in the form of the 1/2 Cent Sales Tax, as not doing so would significantly damage our local education system.
