The Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber fought in support of our member Kolter Homes and their development on Old Kings Road (South of SR 100), which includes the nationally-recognized, award winning Cresswind brand. The future community was approved by a 3-1 vote, with County Commissioner Andy Dance abstaining, because his family once owned the property, which sold for $4.8m in 2004. The Chamber was the only group/person to speak in support of Cresswind/Kolter Homes.

Unfortunately, this high quality development, on the scale of Hammock Dunes and Grand Haven, was delayed for many months at the Flagler County Planning Board. The Chamber recognized the greatness in what the Cresswind development and Kolter Homes will bring to our community, and began actively advocating in support of the project, which keeps 30% of 600+ acre development undeveloped forever. The developer has agreed to millions of dollars in additional concessions at the request of neighbors concerned about the project.

Watch Chamber President & CEO Greg Blose address the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners on this subject at the Monday, July 11, 2022, meeting.
