10 Years in Business: Woman-Owned Real Estate Brokerage Reflects, Celebrates

What started as a passion for helping people has turned into a successful, woman-owned real estate business that has created over a dozen local jobs. On Sunday, April 2, 2023, Catherine “Cat” Evans, Broker & Owner of Palm Coast And The Beaches Real Estate, and her team will celebrate their 10-year anniversary.

“10 years is a big stepping stone when we reflect on all we have weathered,” said Cat Evans. She attributes the success to creating early relationships within her community through the Flagler Chamber and Education Foundation. “These organizations are amazing for our community and as a small business owner. 85% of our business came from these partnerships early on and really set the stage for us to succeed.”

As a way of thanking all those that have supported us along the way, Cat and her team will host a 10-year anniversary celebration on Sunday, April 2nd from 1-4 p.m. The community is welcome to attend.

A Florida native, Cat got into real estate in 1993 when homesites were selling for an average of $4k in Palm Coast. Then came the real estate boom followed by a recession.

In 2013, Cat decided to open a boutique real estate company that focused on giving back to the community in which she was raised. The average price for a home then was $100k and the home design trends were very different. For example, the average home sold was approximately 1,800 sq/ft, with three bedrooms, two baths and two car garage.

Along the way Cat and her team continued to focus on the community even when it came to volunteering and running a business locally. Working and giving to organizations such as:

  • Flagler Chamber
  • Flagler County Humane Society (picture below)
  • Flagler Education Foundation
  • Advent Health Pink Army
  • Family Life Center
  • Community Cats
  • Flagler Habitat for Humanity
  • Young Professionals Network & Young Professionals Group

And winning awards such as:

  • 2015 Business Partners Choice & Best Agents
  • 2016 Flagler County Small Business of the Year
  • 2017 40 Under 40
  • 2020 Young Entrepreneur of the Year
  • 2020 Influential Women in Business
  • 2021 Florida Realtors Leadership Graduate

Cat is happy to continue to work in the ever-changing market alongside her team of 14 Realtors, two administrative staff, two dogs known as the “welcome committee” and her pet turtle that resides in their office, too. (Yes, her office is pet friendly!)
