Palm Coast City Councilman Eddie Branquinho once again mentioned a moratorium on multi-family housing in Palm Coast. With no supporting factual information presented, Councilman Branquinho stated he intended to bring up a Multi-Family Housing Moratorium at the next Palm Coast City Council Meeting, which is slated for Tuesday, March 15th.
Chamber President & CEO Greg Blose called the idea “reckless” and “poisonous,” while urging other City Council Members to OPPOSE Branquinho’s moratorium proposal. See the video of the Chamber’s comments below:

I disagree with the moritorium on multi housing, I want moritorium on the number of houses being built at the same time in a neighborhood! I am a resident and homeowner, its ridiculous all the construction at once happening! We need apartments to be built because it is a better use of our land. We need more affordable housing to be built, not higher rent houses!
