Who’s In, Who’s Out? Flagler/Palm Coast Election Races Set

Qualifying to appear on the 2022 ballot has come to an end, which means we now know who will appear on the ballot in all races. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the election matchups set for Flagler County/Palm Coast for 2022:

  • Flagler County Board of County Commissioners
    • District 2 Candidates (Incumbent: Greg Hansen)
      • Three candidates qualified, all Republicans, in what is now a winner-take-all primary in August.

      • Janet McDonald
    • District 4 Candidates (Incumbent: Joe Mullins)
      • Four candidates have qualified. Two Republicans will face off in an August Primary, the winner will face a NPA candidate and Write In candidate in November.
      • Joe Mullins (Republican Primary)
      • Leann Pennington (Republican Primary)
      • Jane Gentile Youd (NPA, Will appear on General Election Ballot)
      • Brett Borden (Write-In, Will be allowed to accept write in votes on General Election Ballot)
  • Flagler County School Board
    • District 1 Candidates (Incumbent: Jill Woolbright)
      • Two candidates have qualified, and they will face off in a winner-take-all August Primary Election.

      • Jill Woolbright
    • District 2 Candidates (Incumbent: Not running)
      • Three candidates have qualified. If any candidate earns more than 50% of the vote in the August Primary Election, they will be elected outright. Otherwise, the top two vote-earning candidates will appear on the November General Election Ballot.

      • Courtney VandeBunte
    • District 4 Candidates (Incumbent: Trevor Tucker)
      • Two candidates have qualified and will face off in a winner-take-all August Primary Election

    • District 2 Candidates (Incumbent: Not running)
      • Four candidates have qualified for office. All four will face off during the August Primary Election. If any one candidate earns more than 50% of the vote, they will be elected outright. Otherwise, the top two vote-earning candidates will appear in the November General Election.
