Flagler County does not have a definition for a “marina” in its Land Development Code. Many waterfront communities do, which signals to landowners what the expectations/regulations are for creating a Marina in Flagler County. The Chamber has been following this issue for several weeks, and last night, urged the Flagler County Planning and Development Board to continue to advance the conversation. Watch the video below.

After hearing from the public, and the Chamber, the Planning Board decided to continue to move forward with the formally defining marina in the Land Development Code. The Planning Board will take this issue up once again at their August meeting. The Chamber will continue to be involved to make sure the boating industry has opportunities to grow concurrently with our increasing population.

Greg Blose, President & CEO of the Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber urges the Flagler County Planning and Development Board to support defining a Marina in its Land Development Code.
